Reading & Phonics

Phonics Scheme

The school has adopted the Letters and Sounds document to teach phonics with some resources in the Foundation Stage from Ruth Miskin Literacy (RML) and Jolly Phonics. Click here for further information.

Phonics Scheme

At St Clare’s Catholic Primary we believe that the teaching and learning of synthetic phonics is of substantial value to your child’s ability to learn to read.

We follow the government’s approved scheme, which is Letters and Sounds.
